Thank you to MediShare & Christian Care Ministry for their $20,000 matching fund challenge the night of the Gala! Thank you for rising up to the challenge and with your support & generosity we were able to meet the goal. These matched funds will be used to purchase and install state-of-the-art equipment at our Orange clinic to make prescription eyeglasses in under 15 minutes. This equipment will allow our mobile unit to spend more time out in the community creating free prescription glasses for uninsured patients.

$40,000 was raised prior to the event and went directly towards the upgrades of our mobile Vision Unit. Our beautiful Vision van now has professionally installed plumbing, cabinetry, and fixed equipment. This past weekend the unit participated in a Health Fair in San Fernando Valley and 40 patients received prescriptions glasses.

Our goal is to make sure that no one foregoes health care services due to cost. Last year we provided 2,086 vision visits and now thanks to you, we have state-of-the art-equipment to create prescription glasses for uninsured patients in a matter of minutes. With our renovated vehicle and fixed site, we plan to provide 1,500 free glasses each year.

Lestonnac's success would not be possible without your support!

Lestonnac became aware of the lack of vision services available for the uninsured and in response, mobilized free eye exams and prescription glasses. In order to increase access to vision services, Lestonnac purchased a portable optical edger that allows for the production of prescription lenses in a matter of minutes.

Mobile Vision Clinic

Lestonnac’s goal is to further customize our Sprinter Van to meet the increased needs of our patients. We wish to add professionally installed cabinetry, plumbing, and permanent instillation of the eye edging equipment. The expansion of our Mobile Vision Clinic will increase our efficiency and allow us to expand to more locations in order to help uninsured across Southern California.
